Texas Baptists Children’s Worship University

Richardson, TX

Texas Baptists Children’s Worship University is a two-day conference for children’s worship leaders and children’s choir leadership. The conference is held each year in January, and over 200 volunteers and participants attend.

Volunteers and church staff members gain training in teaching children to sing and lead worship for the glory of the Lord. Nationally-recognized experts on children and worship ministry lead training sessions. Many registrants come from Texas, but attendees also come from neighboring states and even as far as Ontario, Canada.

“The Music & Worship leadership view this as a ministry. We feel called to help teach children about music and using music to worship God,” stated Tom Tillman, the Music & Worship lead for the Texas Baptists Great Commission Team.

Children’s Worship University is led by qualified conference leaders, and attendees are encouraged, equipped and networked with other children’s worship and choir leadership. This ministry could not happen without the generous donations made through the Texas Baptists Cooperative Program. Our church supports churches and children’s ministries by providing training experiences such as Children’s Worship University.
